The highly reliable Series 'A' Muncher® is well proven in its ability to effectively macerate raw sewage, sludges, sewage screenings and industrial process flows. Available for pipeline or channel installations, the shaft speed of 85 rpm offers low cutter tip speeds and therefore dramatically reduces wear rates in comparison to high speed macerators.
There are six channel models covering capacities of 0-780m3/h and six pipeline models covering a 0-325m3/h capacity range.
Pump Protection: A single Muncher installed before duty and standby pumps will grind solids and prevent blockages.
Inlet Works: Installed directly into the inlet channel, the Muncher will grind solids and extracted screenings to allow easy transfer through the sewage works. Downstream process equipment is also protected.
Sludge: The Muncher is used for the fine grinding of sludge, imported from road tankers. The resultant homogeneous sludge can improve digestion plant efficiency.
Industrial: Many industrial processes require wet in-flow grinding. From chicken waste to oil platform drill cuttings, Munchers can be installed to reduce bulk and protect process equipment.
