Designed to replace high speed macerators, the SB Muncher can save up to 85% of the energy requirements of a centrifugal force system. Typically it has a cutting tip speed of only 2½% of a high speed system and also much lower vibration and noise levels.
Being of a compact size for the smaller capacity flows, the unit operates as an independent unit for open channel or pipeline configuration, or can be combined with a Mono pump to provide a highly efficient packaged pumping system.
Capacity range is 0-60m3/h and has a 3 year warranty when installed to Mono's recommendations.
Pump Protection: The SB Muncher can be installed at inlet works or gallery mounted to protect submersible pumps. Pump blockages and maintenance problems, usually associated with small unmanned rural sewage works are eliminated. The high rag content is effectively macerated by the Muncher.
Raw Sewage: The SB Muncher, combined with a Mono pump offers many advantages over submersible pump stations. All equipment is located above sewage in a dry, clean environment. On medium/high head applications, energy consumption can be 50% or less of a comparable submersible pump. As sewage is finely macerated, small bore plastics can be used with cost savings up to 75% of traditional 100mm pipelines.
High Speed Macerator Replacement: The low rotating speed of the SB Muncher makes them ideal for retrofitting high speed impeller designs to increase efficiency.
